The problem

In most schools, asking for help means going through a teacher, or waiting outside a room your classmates walk past. Many students don't know the counsellor is there for them, and the ones who do often wait until things get much worse.

The counsellor isn't the gap. Everything between the student and the counsellor is.

What we noticed

What we built

One platform with a different door for each person: students, mentors, counsellors, school admins and parents. Each of them sees only what they need, and the school sees counts, never names.

How it works

Step 1

Read first

Short reads on stress, friendships and self-esteem, written for students, not like a textbook. It's the easiest first step.

Step 2

Talk to a mentor

Trained college students offer a one-to-one conversation that isn't clinical. Talking to someone a few years older feels less heavy.

Step 3

Book the counsellor, privately

Pick a counsellor, see the languages they speak, choose a time. Nobody else sees the request.

Step 4

The counsellor's workspace

Sessions, notes and a student's history in one place, kept confidential.

Step 5

What the school sees

How much the service is used and how busy the counsellors are, without any student's name.

Parents, with consent

Practical tips for supporting a child at home, shared only with the student's consent.

Where it is now

Sibling is recognised by Startup India. We raised INR 5 lakh+ from government grants and other non-dilutive sources, including a pre-seed grant at Krea's Zero to One pitch round, and started a product pilot with DAV School, Chennai.

What I learned

  • Design for two customers. The school pays, the student uses. Each side needs its own reason to say yes.
  • Make the first step small. A short read or a mentor chat gets a student further than a booking form.
  • Build privacy in from the start. It shapes every screen, so it can't be added later.
